This coffee shop brings some of the most exotic and authentic beans into the city, coffee beans that are rare to find anywhere else. The shop is a small privately owned business that takes pride in starting conversations with its customers over a cup of coffee. The store employs all raw materials in its contruction, and glows in a very craft-oriented atmosphere.
The Pfizer Annual Report was a major annual report designed under the direction of Darren Namaye and Michelle Marks for the end of the 2011 financial season. Focusing on their core values and their mission to improve medical circumstances around the world, we crafted and delivered a concept, "At Our Core", that revealed the many ways in which Pfizer was improving the world of medicine.
The Tyco Annual Report was designed as a mini Sitelet to accompany a print report designed for the 2011 season. Designed under the direction of Darren Namaye, the site was based on the conceptual message of moving forward, and feature a short header animation and visuals to communicate that message.

ASCEND is a look into one of my favorite outdoor passions, rock climbing. In this interactive peiece, one learns about the in's and outs of climbing. Technique, gear, climbing styles, difficulty grades, and places to climb are just a few of the areas covered. The experience also covers my own philosophies in climbing as well as what gear I bring. You can even simulate the beta of a climb.
The packaging mimicks the most important aesthetic of climbing: texture. Its cover is covered in a rock like surface, and it opens up to reveal more textural based photography, much like the photography featured in the interface.

A large format editorial book, dedicated to the typeface Galliard, designed by famed typeface designer Matthew Carter. The book aims to interpret and emphasize characteristics of the type face, or it's historical intentions. Matthew Carter was inspired by old Robert Granjon typefaces from the 19th century, typefaces that for their time were recognized by their organic nature. Galliard was so named after an old lively French baroque dance. This editorial project re-imagined the French dance inspired typeface into a modern, lavishly decorated organic visual layout. The spreads share the continuity of the design through the entire piece. The visuals were created using only type.

The issue with designing a way finding system for the Upenn Museum Archaeology of Anthropology is the multi-purpose building it is located in. Within the same building are loacated a myriad of acedemic classrooms and study lounges, as well as some of the worlds most priceless artifacts of social history. So how do you reach a specific audience in a building that house many different walks of life?
This solution uses a unique color scheme that seperates itself from the Upenn colors, along with an obvious symbol of human culture: the mask. Masks relate to the human subject of the museum, but are specific to their own cultures from which they come from. This made it easy to label each section of the museum seperately, but also identify the museum as a whole.
A large array of products were designed including exhibit signage, outdoor banners, and miscalleaneous signage.
My 2011 senior year Thesis project, and a Thesis citation winner. An interface about the effects of one's experiences on the chemistry of their brain, and how these changes affect cognitive inuition and personality. Ultimately the thesis is about how your experiences shape you.
The interface takes the user through several exercises that demonstrate a specific experience's affect on the brain. These effects are then related to changes in personality. As the user clicks through these interactive experiences, the interface changes to reflect the users specific experience. The final product is a zoom out on the entire network to reveal how the user has affected it. Each users effects on the interface are different and unique to themselves.

A set of posters paying homage to classical artists from the past. Each one pays specific attention to themes and styles each of the artists were widely famous for. Special care was taken to call on controversial or even capstone masterworks the painters completed.
Klimt's Tree of Life was a popular and well known theme in many of his peices, and even became an iconic symbol of his trademark style. Whistler's historic Nocturne in Silver and Gold was a contoversial peice as it sparked a very heated public trial between the artist and well known critics. Whistler was well known for his intuitive connection of the visual with the auditory. All of his paintings were named after some sort of method of music.

Photography taken on various travels around the country. This is a fantastic way for me to continue expirementing with all the principles of design in an entertaining manner where ever I go. The photos you see here are a range of selected peices from a much larger collection of travel photography. Most of my work with a camera documents various outdoors adventures I survive. I aim to capture interesting compositions while still capturing the essence of my environment or subject.
